What GreenRoom is

GreenRoom is a marketplace where people resell tickets they already bought. We are not the seller. We do not own, hold, or verify the tickets listed here, and we are not the event organiser or venue. Every ticket is sold by another user.

The price rule

A seller may never receive more than they paid for a ticket. We enforce this at the point of listing: the asking price is capped so that the buyer's total, including card processing, cannot exceed the seller's own purchase price. We rely on sellers to state that purchase price honestly and may ask for proof.

What we charge

Sellers pay nothing. Buyers pay the asking price plus card processing costs, shown as a single all-in price before purchase. We do not currently add a margin on top.

How money moves

When you buy, your payment is held by GreenRoom rather than sent to the seller. It is released once you confirm the ticket reached you, or automatically thirty minutes after the show starts if you have not reported a problem by then. If you do report a problem, the money stays held until we resolve it. Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe, and using GreenRoom as a seller means agreeing to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.

How tickets reach buyers

Where you upload the ticket itself, the buyer receives it automatically the moment they pay. Otherwise you and the buyer arrange the handoff directly, and the buyer is given your contact details once payment clears. Either way, proof of purchase showing the date and what you paid is required to list at all.

Your obligations as a seller

You must actually hold the ticket you list, transfer it promptly after a sale if it was not uploaded, and state your purchase price truthfully. Listing a ticket you do not have, or failing to transfer one after payment, may result in a refund to the buyer, withheld payouts, and removal from GreenRoom.

Your obligations as a buyer

Confirm receipt once the ticket reaches you, and report genuine problems promptly. Falsely claiming a ticket never arrived in order to obtain a refund is fraud and may result in removal and referral to your card issuer.

Disputes

Where a buyer and seller disagree, we decide based on the evidence available, including transfer records and any proof of purchase provided. Our decision governs what happens to the money held in escrow. This does not affect your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer.

What we do not promise

We do not guarantee that an event will take place, that a ticket will be honoured at the door, or that a seller will behave well. Tickets are transferred between users; we hold the money and set the rules, but we cannot control what a venue accepts. Where an event is cancelled, refunds are a matter for the original ticket issuer.

Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, and remove listings that appear fraudulent, above the price cap, or for events that have already started.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above, and continuing to use GreenRoom means accepting the current version.
